According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) website, California leads the nation in statewide Firewise community participation, with over 500 certified communities.  Alpine County is proud to participate in this effort through the establishment of specific Firewise communities (listed below).  Please scroll down for information specific to these communities.

Marklee Village / Carson Ridge

Marklee Village and Carson Ridge joined together to become a certified Firewise community.  There are 140 dwelling units in this community, with 283 residents.
